Simple Synthetic Approach to N-(Pyridin-2-yl)imidates from Nitrostyrenes and 2-Aminopyridines via the N-(Pyridin-2-yl)iminonitriles as Intermediates

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
A facile, green, synthetic protocol of several substituted N-(pyridin-2-yl)imidates from nitrostyrenes and 2-aminopyridines via the corresponding N-(pyridin-2-yl)iminonitriles as intermediates is reported.

Use-dependent potentiation of voltage-gated calcium channels rescues neurotransmission in nerve terminals intoxicated by botulinum neurotoxin serotype A

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) are highly potent toxins that cleave neuronal SNARE proteins required for neurotransmission, causing flaccid paralysis and death by asphyxiation.

Syntheses of novel pyridine-based low-molecular-weight luminogens possessing aggregation-induced emission enhancement (AIEE) properties

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2022
Novel pyridine-based fluorescing compounds, viz. pyrido[1,2-a]pyrrolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines 3a,b and N-methyl-4-((pyridin-2-yl)amino)maleimides 4a–e, were selectively prepared by a one-pot reaction between a functionalized maleimide and 2-aminopyridines with

4-Aminopyridine — A Review [PDF]

open access: yesAnaesthesia and Intensive Care, 1982
4-aminopyridine is the first of the aminopyridines to be used in clinical practice. It blocks potassium channels and thereby increases acetylcholine, and possibly noradrenaline, release at nerve terminals. In man the drug has a significant action at the neuromuscular junction, but has little effect on the autonomic nervous system or muscle (smooth ...

One-pot synthesis of tetracyclic fused imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines via a three-component reaction

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2016
A novel three-component reaction has been developed to assemble biologically and pharmaceutically important tetracyclic fused imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines in a one-pot fashion utilizing readily available 2-aminopyridines, isatins and isocyanides.

4-Aminopyridine Improves Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms in a Patient With Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Downbeat Nystagmus Syndrome [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Neurourology Journal, 2014
Aminopyridines are potassium channel blockers that increase the excitability of nerve cells and axons; therefore, they are widely used to treat different neurological disorders.

Regiodivergent C3 and C4 Amination of Quinolines via Radical and Ionic Pathways

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A regiodivergent strategy converts a single N‐aminoquinolinium precursor into either C3‐ or C4‐aminated quinolines. Nucleophile‐induced dearomatization diverges into light‐driven N‐centered radical capture (C3) or base‐promoted SNAr (C4), enabling rapid assembly of aminoquinoline libraries and late‐stage diversification.

An Efficient Synthesis of Novel 3-[(Heteroaryl-2-ylimino)-methyl]-4-hydroxy-chromen-2-ones and Analogue of Tetrazole Derivatives and Their Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesMolbank, 2021
Synthesis of a series of the substituted [(pyridinyl and pyrimidin-2-ylimino)-ethyl]-4-hydroxy-chromen-2-ones and their tetrazole derivates is presented in this study. By catalytic condensation of 4-hydroxy-3-acetylcoumarine 2 and 2-aminopyridines 3(a-d),

An Improved Synthesis of 4-Chlorocoumarin-3-sulfonyl Chloride and Its Reactions with Different Bidentate Nucleophiles to Give Pyrido[1',2':2,3]- and Thiazino[3',2':2,3]-1,2,4-Thiadiazino[6,5-c]Benzopyran-6-one 7,7-Dioxides

open access: yesMolecules, 2007
An improved synthetic method affording 4-chlorocoumarin-3-sulfonyl chloride (4) in very good yield (ca. 85 %) is reported. This compound was reacted with various bidentate nucleophiles such as 2-aminopyridines and 2-aminothiazoles in order to obtain ...

Efficient Synthesis of 2-Aminopyridine Derivatives: Antibacterial Activity Assessment and Molecular Docking Studies

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
A new and suitable multicomponent one-pot reaction was developed for the synthesis of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridine derivatives. Background: This synthesis was demonstrated by the efficient and easy access to a variety of substituted 2-aminopyridines using ...
