Rheological properties, especially 'shear-thinning', of dense colloidal dispersions are discussed on three different levels. A generalized phenomonological Maxwell model gives a broad framework connecting glassy dynamics to the linear and non-linear ...

The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

Electrochemical characterisation of 3Y-TPZ-Fe2O3 composites [PDF]
The influence of the addition of ferric oxide to 3Y-TZP on the conductivity and microstructure of sintered Y-stabilised tetragonal zirconia ceramics (3Y-TZP) was investigated.

The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Interfacial Phonon Scattering and Transmission Loss in >1 um Thick Silicon-on-insulator Thin Films
Scattering of phonons at boundaries of a crystal (grains, surfaces, or solid/solid interfaces) is characterized by the phonon wavelength, the angle of incidence, and the interface roughness, as historically evaluated using a specularity parameter p ...

Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

A Quaternary Solid Dispersion System for Improving the Solubility of Olaparib
To improve the low solubility of poorly water soluble olaparib, in the following study, we prepared olaparib-loaded quaternary solid dispersions with hypromellose, Tween 20 or Labrasol, and colloidal silica.
