This review highlights recent advances in integrating biocatalysis and chemocatalysis in continuous flow to create streamlined, sustainable processes. It examines chemo‐enzymatic cascades combining at least one enzymatic and one chemical step, discusses challenges such as enzyme immobilization, leaching, and reactor clogging, and presents solutions ...

Research Progress on Caproic Acid-producing Bacteria in Chinese Strong-flavor Baijiu Fermentation Ecosystem [PDF]
In the Chinese strong-flavor baijiu (CSFB) fermentation ecosystem, the caproic acid-anabolism of caproic acid-producing bacteria (CPBs) is very important for improving the fermentation quality of CSFB.

Depletion of Branched-Chain Aminotransferase 2 (BCAT2) Enzyme Impairs Myoblast 3 Survival and Myotube Formation [PDF]
Much is known about the positive effects of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) in regulating muscle protein metabolism. Comparatively much less is known about the effects of these amino acids and their metabolites in regulating myotube formation.

WTAP drives cartilage regeneration by activating an LRP1‐dependent lipid metabolic program in macrophages, enhancing IL‐10 and TGF‐β secretion to promote chondrogenic differentiation. Leveraging this mechanism, virtual screening identifies LRP1‐targeting compounds that effectively stimulate cartilage repair, highlighting a druggable epigenetic ...

Single‐Injection Multi‐Omics Analysis by Direct Infusion Mass Spectrometry
A high‐throughput direct infusion mass spectrometry platform, enabled by gas‐phase ion mobility separation, supports single‐injection analysis of peptides, polar metabolites, and lipids. Coupled with custom software, it identified ∽1,300 proteins and ∽600 metabolites in ∽4.3 minutes per sample, and demonstrated broad utility in macrophage polarization ...

Free amino acids in a cave beetle \u3cem\u3eDarlingtonea kentuckensis\u3c/em\u3e Valentine (Coleoptera: Carabidae) [PDF]
Free amino acids of Darlingtonea kentuckensis were investigated by two-dimensional, thin-layer chromatography on Silica Gel G. Thirteen amino acids which could be identifìed (alanine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine and/or leucine, lysine ...

This study reveals the dual role of celecoxib in intervertebral disc degeneration. While low concentrations are protective, high concentrations induce toxicity by upregulating HSP90, which synergizes with USP15 to deubiquitinate and stabilize RBX1. This leads to degradation of COMMD1/ATP7B, copper dyshomeostasis, and ultimately, cuproptosis.

The Role of Extracellular Vesicles MicroRNAs in Sarcopenia: From Aging to Multi‐Morbidity
Exosomes transporting miRNAs play a crucial bidirectional regulatory role in the process of sarcopenia, both in natural aging and under various pathological conditions. ABSTRACT Sarcopenia, defined as progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, occurs during aging and has also been recognized for its detrimental effects in various disease ...
