A neural network based background calibration for pipelined‐SAR ADCs at low hardware cost

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2023
This paper proposes a background calibration scheme for the pipelined‐Successive Approximation Register (SAR) Analog‐to‐Digital Converter (ADC) based on the neural network.

11 b 200 MS/s 28‐nm CMOS 2b/cycle successive‐approximation register analogue‐to‐digital converter using offset‐mismatch calibrated comparators

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2023
This letter presents an 11 b 200 MS/s 28 nm CMOS 2b/cycle successive‐approximation register (SAR) analogue‐to‐digital converter (ADC). The offset calibration technique is proposed to reduce the comparator offset mismatch that degrades the linearity of ...

Programmable mixed-signal circuits

open access: yesSN Applied Sciences, 2023
A novel concept for programmable mixed-signal circuits is presented based on programmable transmission gates. For implementation, memristively switching devices are suggested as the most promising candidates for realization of fast and small-footprint ...

Ultra‐low line sensitivity and high PSRR sub‐threshold CMOS voltage reference

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2023
This paper presents a nanowatt CMOS voltage reference (VR) with ultra‐low line sensitivity (LS) and high‐power supply ripple rejection (PSRR). The proposed VR consists of two simple nanowatt two‐transistor (2T) VRs.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Analogue integrated-circuit design for sustainedneurons in a fly

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2001
An analogue integrated-circuit design of a fly's sustained neurons is presented. Circuit simulation of the design shows that the output exhibits non-associative learning in agreement with electrophysiological studies of these neurons. The output is shown to encode the contrast of the input.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Line‐transient enhancement techniques for multi‐path hybrid DC–DC converter with <1% output overshoot/undershoot

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2022
This letter presents two transient enhancement techniques for multi‐path switched‐capacitor‐inductor (MP‐SCI) hybrid DC–DC converters to eliminate the line‐transient‐induced voltage coupling to the converter output.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
