Flexible Implantable Silicon Carbide Multi‐Electrode Array (MEA) for Cell Multichannel Recording and Cell Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Flexible silicon carbide (SiC) microelectrode arrays enable high‐fidelity, multichannel cell extracellular recording and precise localized ablation. SiC has been extensively evaluated to persist long‐term in chronic physiological conditions while remaining robust, with excellent electrical and electrochemical stability.

SEVOFLURANE, DESFLURANE, AND XENON NEW INHALED ANESTHETICS IN VETERINARY MEDICINE SEVOFLURANO, DESFLURANO E XENÔNIO NOVOS ANESTÉSICOS INALATÓRIOS EM MEDICINA VETERINÁRIA

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2001
Inhalation anesthesia is widely used in veterinary medicine. New inhalation anesthetics that present less untoward effects, are more potent and produce a safe and easily changeable anesthetic plane are desirable over the older agents presently available.

Electrical Changes in Deeper Cortical Structures During Balanced General Anesthesia with the Aim on Inhalation Anesthetics Effects

open access: yes, 2015
There are many theories that attempt to explain the mechanisms of the effects of inhalation anesthetics - from simpler, pursuing individual effects of anesthetics on the level of the ion channels, to more complex that are looking for uniform global ...

Soft Robotic Excretory Care Simulator for Nursing Education: Functional and Perceptual Biomimetics Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A soft robotic simulator is developed to replicate the digital removal of feces (DRF), a sensitive yet essential nursing procedure. Integrating soft actuators, sensors, and a realistic rectal model, the simulator balances functional fidelity with perceptual realism. Engineering evaluations and nurse feedback confirm its potential to enhance training in

Nitrous oxide and the inhalation anesthetics

open access: yes, 2020
Nitrous oxide is the most commonly used inhalation anesthetic in dentistry and is commonly used in emergency centers and ambulatory surgery centers as well. When used alone, it is incapable of producing general anesthesia reliably, but it may be combined

Comparing Intravenous And Inhalation Anesthetics For Intraoperative Anesthesia In Adult Patients With An Acute Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yes, 2022
As research and science has progressed to further analyze the effects of anesthetics on cerebral physiology, the margin of safety for each anesthetic is reassessed to enhance patient outcomes and recovery.

Marburg Virus Glycoprotein Is a Remarkable Virulent Factor Linked to Hemorrhagic Pathology: Evidence from Multimodal Experimental Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...

Hepatotoxicity of Halogenated Inhalational Anesthetics [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Red Crescent Medical Journal, 2014
Halogenated inhalational anesthetics are currently the most common drugs used for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. Postoperative hepatic injury has been reported after exposure to these agents. Based on much evidence, mechanism of liver toxicity is more likely to be immunoallergic.

Agnuside Stabilizes the Complex I Assembly Factor NDUFAF6 to Reinforce Mitochondrial Efficiency and Thermogenic Responsiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates

Tunable Porous Coordination Polymers for the Capture, Recovery and Storage of Inhalation Anesthetics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The uptake of inhalation anesthetics by three topologically identical frameworks is described. The 3D network materials, which possess square channels of different dimensions, are formed from the relatively simple combination of ZnII centres and ...
