Objective JAK inhibitors (JAKi) have shown promising effects in early‐phase studies of systemic sclerosis (SSc). We aimed to assess the safety and explore the effectiveness of JAKi compared to conventional immunosuppressants in SSc. Methods A longitudinal retrospective study of the European Scleroderma Trials and Research Group (EUSTAR) cohort was ...

Sialylation converts arthritogenic IgG into inhibitors of collagen-induced arthritis
Post-translational modifications, such as glycosylation and sialylation, are thought to confer disease modifying effects on autoimmune-associated antibodies, including anti-citrullinated protein antibodies in rheumatoid arthritis.

Autoantibodies against citrullinated serum albumin in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, potentially debilitating, inflammatory disease that primarily affects synovial joints. While the etiology of RA remains incompletely understood, it is clear that the disease is autoimmune in nature.

The presence of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs) in the serum is one of the immunological features of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) assay has been widely used in clinic for the diagnosis of RA.

Serum Autoantibody Biomarkers for Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease that is characterized by the destruction of bone and production of autoantibodies such as rheumatoid factor (RF) and anticitrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs).

In sepsis‐induced liver injury, marked neutrophil infiltration correlates with disease severity. Neutrophil SLC11A1 drives intracellular Fe2+ and ROS via the Fenton reaction, promoting NETs formation. Hepatocyte‐derived CXCL10 recruits neutrophils and activates the JAK/STAT1/SLC11A1 axis, enhancing NETs‐mediated inflammation.

The role of the host—Neutrophil biology
Abstract Neutrophilic polymorphonuclear leukocytes (neutrophils) are myeloid cells packed with lysosomal granules (hence also called granulocytes) that contain a formidable antimicrobial arsenal. They are terminally differentiated cells that play a critical role in acute and chronic inflammation, as well as in the resolution of inflammation and wound ...
