Decreased phagocytosis and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) in type-1 diabetes.

Biomedicine / [publiee pour l'A.A.I.C.I.G.], 1981
Leucocyte-mediated phagocytosis and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) were tested in 48 children with type-1 diabetes and in 22 healthy children. Both phagocytosis and ADCC for opsonized 51Cr-erythrocytes significantly decreased in the diabetics.

Antibody dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP) and antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of breast cancer cells mediated by bispecific antibody, MDX-210

Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, 1999
MDX-210 is a bispecific antibody (BsAb) with specificity for both the proto-oncogene product of HER-2/neu (c-erbB-2) and FcgammaRI (CD64). HER-2/neu is overexpressed in malignant tissue of approximately 30% of patients with breast cancer, and FcgammaRI is expressed on human monocytes, macrophages, and IFN-gamma activated granulocytes.

Purified human monocyte subsets as effector cells in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).

The Journal of Immunology, 1983
Abstract Human peripheral blood monocytes are heterogeneous with respect to their size and function. Two monocyte subsets were isolated by countercurrent centrifugal elutriation and were studied with respect to their ability to effect antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and for the presence of Fc receptors on their surface ...

Antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) in acute hepatitis B and in chronic active hepatitis.

Clinical and experimental immunology, 1978
Antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of peripheral blood lymphocytes against chicken red blood cells (ChRBC) in the presence of specific antiserum has been studied in normal subjects and in patients with acute hepatitis B and with chronic active hepatitis (CAH).

The effect of ampicillin on antibody dependent (ADCC) and lectin induced (LICC) cellular cytotoxicity.

Archivum immunologiae et therapiae experimentalis, 1981
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells, preincubated in ampicillin-containing media, exhibited a markedly decreased antibody-dependent (ADCC) and lectin-induced (LICC) cellular cytotoxicity against L1210 target cells in 9 out of 20 and 7 out of 13 donors, respectively.

Influence of acetylsalicylic acid on antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of peritoneal macrophages.

Anticancer research, 1993
Very recent evidence indicates that, in addition to its already known analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and platelet-aggregation-inhibiting properties, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) exerts a positive influence on the immune system. Therefore, its action on murine peritoneal macrophages was investigated in the present study.

Antibody-Dependent Cellular Cytotoxicity (ADCC) Mediated by Human Killer Lymphocytes (K-Cells)

1984
During the past two decades a variety of in vitro procedures has been designed to elucidate the mechanisms of cellular immunity. The most thoroughly studied systems deal with the extracellular, nonphagocytic destruction of various types of “target” cells. Three major models of this cell-mediated cytotoxicity can be distinguished.
