Antibody-Producing Cells in Rabbits Injected with Soluble BSA [PDF]
Summary A hemolytic plaque technique has been modified for detecting antibody-producing cells in lymphoid tissues of rabbits injected with soluble BSA. A soluble carbodiimide was used to couple BSA to either heterologous (goat) or homologous erythrocytes. In the latter case, background activity was completely eliminated.

ANTIBODY‐PRODUCING CELLS: ANALYSIS AND PURIFICATION BY VELOCITY SEDIMENTATION
ABSTRACTVelocity sedimentation cell separation is a simple and reproducible method for obtaining highly enriched populations of viable antibody‐producing cells. Using suspensions of spleen cells prepared from mice immunized with sheep erythrocytes, fractions containing up to 2% 19S‐PFC and 25% 7S‐PFC can be obtained.

A New Method for the Enumeration of Single Antibody-Producing Cells
Summary A new method is described for the enumeration of single cells producing antibody against a pure protein preparation from Salmonella adelaide flagella. Cells with adherent bacteria, cultured in nutrient agar, give rise to bacteria adherence colonies which can be counted under low power magnification.

The immunosenescence-related factor DOCK11 is involved in secondary immune responses of B cells
Background Memory B cells are an antigen-experienced B-cell population with the ability to rapidly differentiate into antibody-producing cells by recall responses.

Detection of circulating B cells producing anti-GPIb autoantibodies in patients with immune thrombocytopenia. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: We previously reported that an enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assay for detecting anti-GPIIb/IIIa antibody-secreting B cells is a sensitive method for identifying patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).

The pathogenesis of thrombocytopenia in chronic hepatitis C (CHC) conceivably involves autoimmunity; however, the dynamics of autoantibodies and other autoimmune mechanisms remain unclear.
