Correlations in the T Cell Response to Altered Peptide Ligands
The vertebrate immune system is a wonder of modern evolution. Occasionally, however, correlations within the immune system lead to inappropriate recruitment of preexisting T cells against novel viral diseases.

RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Antigen-presenting cells are crucial participants in the defense of the body against potentially pathogenic invaders. In an immature state, they reside in all peripheral sites, where they can recognize and take up antigens.

This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Immunohistochemical analysis of Langerhans cells in chronic gingivitis using anti-CD1a antibody
Background: The Langerhans cells (LCs) are dendritic cells (DCs) which belong to the group of antigen presenting cells (APCs). Their function is to recognize the antigen, capture it, and present it to the T lymphocytes; thus initiating an early immune ...
