PET Imaging of Cardiac Inflammation in Viral Myocarditis Using a DPP4‐Targeted Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes a DPP4‐targeted PET probe for imaging myocardial inflammation by selectively targeting activated immune cells. Derived from the clinically approved small‐molecule inhibitor linagliptin, the probe demonstrates favorable biodistribution with specific cardiac uptake in myocarditis.

Recognition of a human T-lymphocyte differentiation antigen by an IgM monoclonal antibody.

open access: yesClinical and experimental immunology, 1982
A monoclonal antibody directed at a determinant on human T cells was produced and characterized. This IgM antibody, MBG6, bound to human peripheral blood T lymphocytes and to medullary thymocytes. It was unreactive with normal B cells, B-cell lines and granulocytes.

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

Investigating the roles of the alternative Isoforms of the preTCR alpha (pTα) chain in T cell development

open access: yes, 2010
PhDThe pre-T cell receptor (preTCR) is required for αβ T cell development and hence efficient adaptive immunity. Composed of a rearranged TCRβ chain paired with the invariant preTCR α chain (pTα), it drives immature thymocytes through the “β-selection ...

Development of methods for the in-vitro assessment of the adipogenesis and immunogenicity of human multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Adult mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have enormous potential in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. MSC have also been reported to be immune-privileged.

Combination Immunotherapy as a Promising Strategy to Overcome Immunotherapy Resistance: From Emergence to Next‐Generation Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review examines emerging combination immunotherapy strategies tailored to distinct tumor microenvironments and highlights next‐generation biomarkers that guide response prediction and treatment personalization. It integrates lessons from unsuccessful trials, addresses toxicity challenges, and outlines approaches for early biomarker discovery and ...

Microwave ablation combined with immune checkpoint inhibitor enhanced the antitumor immune activation and memory in rechallenged tumor mouse model

open access: yesCancer Immunology, Immunotherapy
Microwave ablation (MWA) is a super minimally invasive therapeutic approach that has been widely applied in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Although MWA can elicit antitumor immune responses, these immune responses are not relatively

Humanized and Charge‐Optimized CSPG4‐Specific CAR‐T Cells show Enhanced Efficacy against Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CSPG4 is identified as a high‐value, stemness‐associated target in HPV‐negative HNSCC. By implementing rational biophysical engineering, a humanized and charge‐optimized CAR is developed to overcome tonic signaling‐induced exhaustion. This strategy induces a profound transcriptomic shift toward a rejuvenated, stem‐like memory state, significantly ...

Tumor‐Derived LAMB3 Drives Immunosuppressive LRRC15+ Fibroblast Formation During Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A single‐cell atlas of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma development reveals progressive ductal‐fibroblast‐immune crosstalk. Tumor‐derived LAMB3 drives the formation of immunosuppressive LRRC15+ fibroblasts through the ITGB1/FAK/MAPK/FOSL2 signaling. Glycolytic reprogramming upregulates LAMB3 and correlates with LRRC15+ fibroblast enrichment.

HIV pathogenesis in the female genital tract during chronic HIV infection : the impact of inflammation, T cell memory differentiation status and homeostatic cytokines on mucosal T cell immunity

open access: yes, 2010
Includes bibliographical references (leaves 124-150).The female genital tract serves as the major portal of entry for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
