Mining Exomic Sequencing Data to Identify Mutated Antigens Recognized by Adoptively Transferred Tumor-reactive T cells

open access: yesNature Network Boston, 2013
Substantial regressions of metastatic lesions have been observed in up to 70% of patients with melanoma who received adoptively transferred autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in phase 2 clinical trials.

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

The immunological interface: dendritic cells as key regulators in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

Human Vaccines in India: Present and Future Perspectives

open access: yesMGM Journal of Medical Sciences, 2019
Vaccines are formulations that equip the human immune system to fight against a pathogen. All the vaccines approved for use are safe. On vaccination, the body produces enough clonal B and T cells to resist infection.

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Field evaluation of inactivated Corynebacterium ovis vaccine in sheep prepared from a local isolate

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Medical Research, 2016
Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis vaccine was prepared from a local field isolate. Vaccination of sheep with 50g PLD toxoid and 10 mg bacterin adjuvanted with Montanide oil improved the levels of immune responses of sheep.

Modification of H-2 Antigenic Sites by Enzymatic Treatment Influences Virus-Specific Target Cell Lysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
Vaccinia virus-infected cells were treated enzymatically to remove H-2 antigenic sites. The effect of this procedure on virus-specific cell-mediated cytolysis (CMC) and virus-specific antibody-mediated cytolysis (AMC) was tested. Due to the inhibition of
