Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

On the Domain of Analytical Continuation of the Ratios of Generalized Hypergeometric Functions 3F2
The paper considers the problem of the analytical extension of the ratios of generalized hypergeometric functions F23 A new domain of analytic continuation for these ratios under certain conditions to parameters is established.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Rational approximation to e and to related functions
AbstractAccording to a well-known result of S. N. Bernstein, ex can be approximated uniformly on [−1, 1] by polynomials of degree ⩽n with an error of the order [2n(n + 1)!]−1. In this note it is shown that the smallest (uniform norm) error in approximating ex by reciprocals of polynomials of degree ⩽n is also of the order [2n(n + 1)!]−1.

Piecewise rational approximation to continuous functions with characteristic singularities
Let Hvp[a,b] be the class of continuous functions in the interval [a,b], which admit analytic continuation to Hp in the subintervals of a v-subdivition of [a,b].

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Approximating Polynomials for Functions of Weighted Smirnov-Orlicz Spaces
Let 𝐺0 and 𝐺∞ be, respectively, bounded and unbounded components of a plane curve Γ satisfying Dini's smoothness condition. In addition to partial sum of Faber series of 𝑓 belonging to weighted Smirnov-Orlicz space 𝐸𝑀,𝜔 (𝐺0), we prove that interpolating ...

An Approximate Transfer Function Model for a Double-Pipe Counter-Flow Heat Exchanger
The transfer functions G(s) for different types of heat exchangers obtained from their partial differential equations usually contain some irrational components which reflect quite well their spatio-temporal dynamic properties. However, such a relatively

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Chebyshev approximation by rational expression functions of two variables
Запропоновано метод побудови чебишовського наближення раціональним виразом для функцій двох змінних. Ідея методу ґрунтується на побудові граничного середньостепеневого наближення у нормі простору Lⁿ при n →∞.
