This graphical abstract illustrates a bidirectional vicious cycle between Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and circadian rhythm disturbance (CRD). On the one hand, AD pathology, including amyloid‐β (Aβ) plaque deposition and tau hyperphosphorylation, may damage the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) and disrupt melatonin signaling, leading to sleep fragmentation ...

Targeting arginine auxotrophy in pancreatic cancer cells using human recombinant arginase I-induced arginine deprivation. (c2017) [PDF]
Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a highly aggressive solid malignancy with no efficient therapy. It is one of the deadliest cancer types since its mortality rate per year is nearly equal to its incidence rate.

In planta analysis of the mode of action of cinmethylin and confirmation of fatty acyl‐ACP thioesterases (FATs) as primary site of action. Cinmethylin inhibits FATs, disrupting eukaryotic de novo lipid biosynthesis and causing defects in cell division, elongation and integrity. We confirm FATs as the primary site of action in planta.
