Functional Training Mitigates Reduced Circulating Indole‐3‐Lactate Levels in Persons With Relapsing–Remitting Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Indoles are tryptophan (Trp)‐derived metabolites that are produced by the gut microbiota and may influence the gut‐microbiota‐brain axis in multiple sclerosis (MS). Indole‐3‐lactate (ILA) is reduced in persons with MS and improves MS clinical scores in animal models via its anti‐inflammatory remyelinating properties.

Time‐of‐Day Impacts Uterine Circadian Rhythms and Response to Oxytocin: Comparison of Uterine Function in Melatonin‐Deficient C57BL/6 Versus Melatonin Proficient CBA/B6 Hybrid Mice

open access: yesJournal of Pineal Research, Volume 78, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Reaching term gestation requires a complex interplay between the uterus and hormonal signals regulating its contractile profile. Most pregnancy‐associated hormones vary in their overall level of release throughout pregnancy, but also have a circadian release pattern, including progesterone, oxytocin, and melatonin. It remains poorly understood

Crosstalk Between Intratumoral Microbes and Tumor Immunity: Implications for Tumor Therapy

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging studies indicate that microbes are present in tumor cells and immune cells. Intratumoral microbiota (ITM) constitute an important component of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) and have an important impact on tumor progression and treatment. Objective Through the general elaboration of ITM represented by bacteria and

Metabolic reprogramming of efferocytosis in the tumour microenvironment: From apoptotic‐cell clearance to therapeutic targeting

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
This review systematically deconstructs the pathological efferocytic—metabolic axis in tumours, framing it as a three‐stage, self‐reinforcing cycle: from metabolite‐driven macrophage recruitment, through hijacked surface recognition, to post‐phagocytic metabolic reprogramming that locks in immunosuppression.
