Mycoremediation potential of Aspergillus ochraceus NRRL 3174

Archives of Microbiology, 2021
Mycoremediation is an important process that targets the removal of petroleum hydrocarbons by fungi. Fungi have advantages with their extensive enzymatic systems, rapid adaptation to toxic organic pollutants, and to adverse environmental conditions.

Transformation in Aspergillus ochraceus

Current Microbiology, 1995
Mutants (lysine requiring) of Aspergillus ochraceus were kept under starvation conditions for 15 days and finally were treated with DNA of a 40-h-old culture of the wild strain. The donor DNA-treated mutant conidia were then grown on plates containing minimal medium at 28 degrees C for 4 days.

Proteome analysis of Aspergillus ochraceus

Mycotoxin Research, 2010
Genome sequencing for many important fungi has begun during recent years; however, there is still some deficiency in proteome profiling of aspergilli. To obtain a comprehensive overview of proteins and their expression, a proteomic approach based on 2D gel electrophoresis and MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometry was used to investigate A. ochraceus.

Production of Ochratoxin A by Aspergillus Ochraceus

European Journal of Plant Pathology, 2004
The effects of growth conditions, trace metals, carbon and nitrogen source on ochratoxin A (OTA) production by Aspergillus ochraceus NRRL 3174 were investigated in submerged liquid culture medium. No correlation between biomass production and OTA synthesis was observed.
