Advances in research on layered double hydroxides for biomedical applications
Smart Molecules, EarlyView.Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are pH‐responsive nanomaterials with broad biomedical applications. This review summarizes LDH synthesis methods and compares their advantages. It highlights LDHs' progress in cancer therapy, including chemo‐photothermal, chemo‐immunotherapy, and photodynamic‐immunotherapy combinations and their potential in bone repair.

Crystal structure of fucoxanthin: resolving a long‐standing crystallographic challenge
Acta Crystallographica Section C, EarlyView.The first small‐molecule single‐crystal X‐ray structure of fucoxanthin is reported, resolving a long‐standing crystallographic problem in carotenoid structural chemistry.Fucoxanthin (C42H58O6) is a highly functionalized allenic epoxy xanthophyll containing hydroxy, acetoxy, ketone and conjugated polyene units.
