Preparation and Characterization of Gradient‐Index Copper‐Oxide Films
Sequential deposition of 35 nm thick Cu layers on glass and oxidation at temperatures decreasing from 650 to 450 K enables the preparation of a gradient‐index oxide film, the stoichiometry of which monotonously changes from Cu2O to CuO with distance from the surface.

Abstract The Triassic Songpan‐Ganzi turbidite complex (SGC) on the eastern Tibetan plateau is one of the largest flysch turbiditic complexes on Earth. However, the provenance of its extremely thick turbidites is hotly debated. We conducted the measurement of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) of Triassic turbidites from nine profiles in Ruo ...

Postcranial anatomy of the Miocene hippopotamoids of Toros‐Menalla, Chad
We establish a framework for the identification of postcranial remains in hippopotamoids by describing and comparing for the first time two late Miocene hippopotamoids from Toros‐Menalla, Chad (Hexaprotodon garyam, an early hippopotamid, and Libycosaurus bahri, the last African anthracothere) with the common hippopotamus.

Conformational and Biophysical Studies of AT1 Non-Peptide Antagonists
One of the major systems which interferes with the disease of hypertension, is the Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System (RAS). The octapeptide hormone angiotensin II is the active product of RAS which causes vasoconstriction when binds to the AT1 ...
