Activation of Kir4.1 Channels by 2‐D08 Promotes Myelin Repair in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiple sclerosis causes myelin loss and neurological dysfunction. This study shows that 2‐D08, a small molecule targeting Kir4.1 channels, promotes OPCs differentiation via FYN tyrosine kinase phosphorylation and the FYN/MYRF pathway. It significantly improves myelin repair and motor deficits in EAE mice and marmosets, highlighting its potential as a

Weak and Tunable Adhesion–Clutch Drives Rapid Cell Migration and Glioblastoma Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes that adhesion–clutch can mediate both cell motility and immobilization depending on the force amplitude. Weak adhesion–clutch is well‐suited for cell migration, without forming strong adhesions that impede cell motility. It propels rapid dendritic cell migration controlled by extracellular chemicals, as well as pathologically ...

Brain‐Inspired Polymer Dendrite Networks for Morphology‐Dependent Computing Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Although process variability is often perceived as a drawback in electronics, this work harnesses the stochastic nature of electropolymerization as a powerful ally for computation. The resulting conductive polymer dendrites exhibit unique structure‐property relationships and support in memory computing, paving the way for the development of a new class

Epigenetic Regulation of DAPK1 and Netrin‐1 Drives Diabetic Encephalopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a microRNA (miR)‐216a‐5p/death‐associated protein kinase 1 (DAPK1)/hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox A (HNF1A)/Netrin‐1 signaling axis in diabetic encephalopathy (DE). In leptin receptor‐deficient (db/db) and streptozotocin (STZ)‐induced diabetic mice, reduced miR‐216a‐5p increases DAPK1 expression, disrupting HNF1A binding to ...

Small Extracellular Vesicles Orchestrate Cisplatin‐Induced Ototoxicity: Potential Biomarker and Targets Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cisplatin causes reactive oxygen species accumulation, leading to apoptosis and inflammation in cochlear hair cells. Small extracellular vesicles primarily derived from the damaged hair cells likely contribute to cisplatin‐induced ototoxicity, carrying a variety of microRNAs and proteins.
