Large‐Diameter DNA‐Scaffolded Nanopores Enabled by Loosely Packed Peptides for Single‐Molecule Sensing

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A nanopore composed of transmembrane peptides and a DNA scaffold that assists peptide assembly was constructed. By employing peptides containing the unnatural amino acid 2‐aminoisobutyric acid (Aib), which promotes loose packing between helices, a large‐diameter nanopore was achieved.

Synthesis of triazolo- and tetrazolo-fused 1,4-benzodiazepines via one-pot Ugi–azide and Cu-free click reactions

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
A one-pot Ugi–azide reaction followed by intramolecular Cu-free azide–alkyne cycloaddition generates a polycyclic scaffold 7 bearing polycyclic triazole, tetrazole, and benzodiazepine rings.

Enhanced Intracellular Stability and Translation Efficiency of mRNA Drugs by a 2‐arm mRNA Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We constructed a 2‐arm mRNA, characterized by a unique topology formed through the dimerization of two mRNA 3’ tails. The 2‐arm mRNA improves 3’ tail stability and resistance to nuclease degradation, resulting in an intracellular half‐life of up to 65 h. This method substantially enhances the translation capacity of mRNA drugs.

Catalytic Functionalization of Unactivated π‐Bonds Enabled by Bidentate Directing Auxiliaries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This review explores how bidentate directing auxiliaries have advanced transition‐metal catalysis for unactivated alkene/alkyne functionalization. By leveraging chelated intermediates, bidentate directing auxiliaries enable precise hydrofunctionalization, difunctionalization, and C─H activation of π‐bonds with unique selectivity and reactivity.

Sequential One-Pot Ruthenium-Catalyzed Azide−Alkyne Cycloaddition from Primary Alkyl Halides and Sodium Azide

open access: yes, 2016
An experimentally simple sequential one-pot RuAAC reaction, affording 1,5-disubstituted 1H-1,2,3-triazoles in good to excellent yields starting from an alkyl halide, sodium azide, and an alkyne, is reported.

Dynamic Self‐Clickable Decellularized Matrix Hydrogels for Regulating Vascularity and Enhancing Muscle Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.

Catalytic Enantioselective Intramolecular Aza‐Michael Addition to α,β‐Unsaturated Esters

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A general method for accessing enantioenriched saturated N‐heterocycles via a catalytic enantioselective intramolecular aza‐Michael reaction to α,β‐unsaturated esters is described. A superbasic bifunctional iminophosphorane (BIMP) catalyst was key to enabling reactivity of the high pKa sulfonamide pronucleophile, whilst delivering good to excellent ...

Biotin-Conjugated Cellulose Nanofibers Prepared via Copper-Catalyzed Alkyne-Azide Cycloaddition (CuAAC) “Click” Chemistry

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
As potential high surface area for selective capture in diagnostic or filtration devices, biotin-cellulose nanofiber membranes were fabricated to demonstrate the potential for specific and bio-orthogonal attachment of biomolecules onto nanofiber surfaces.

Multiscale Invasion Assay for Probing Macrophage Response to Gram-Negative Bacteria

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
The immune system is a complex network of various cellular components that must differentiate between pathogenic bacteria and the commensal bacteria of the human microbiome, where misrecognition is linked to inflammatory disorders. Fragments of bacterial
