Unnatural Amino Acid Incorporation into Virus-Like Particles [PDF]
Virus-like particles composed of hepatitis B virus (HBV) or bacteriophage Qβ capsid proteins have been labeled with azide- or alkyne-containing unnatural amino acids by expression in a methionine auxotrophic strain of E. coli.

Fibrous benzenetrispeptide (BTP) hydrogels, fabricated via strain‐promoted azide‐alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) crosslinking, form robust, bioinert networks. These hydrogels can support 3D cell culture, where cell viability and colony growth depend on the fiber content.

We developed a novel domino polymerization to synthesize reductively degradable poly(disulfide)s with tunable side chains. A novel monomer bearing thiolactone and pyridyl disulfide groups reacts with various amines, enabling continuous ring‐opening and disulfide exchange.

Clickable azide-functionalized bromoarylaldehydes – synthesis and photophysical characterization
Herein, we present a facile synthesis of three azide-functionalized fluorophores and their covalent attachment as triazoles in Huisgen-type cycloadditions with model alkynes.

“One-pot” dispersion ATRP and alkyne-azide Huisgen’s 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition in supercritical carbon dioxide: towards the formation of functional microspheres [PDF]
Functional polymers were successfully prepared in scCO2 by combining alkyne-azide 1,3-dipolar Huisgen’s cycloaddition and dispersion ATRP in a “one pot” process using new perfluorinated polymeric amino-based ligands that had a dual role, i.e.

Color Routing and Beam Steering of Single‐Molecule Emission with a Spherical Silicon Nanoantenna
We experimentally demonstrate broadband directional emission from single molecules using a single spherical silicon nanoparticle assembled via DNA origami. By varying nanoparticle (NP) size and emitter position, we achieve unidirectional emission, beam steering, and color routing at the nanoscale, revealing modal interference as the underlying ...

A range of bis-heterocyclic derivatives based on novel morpholinone and triazole heterocycles was prepared from iodo-morpholinone. The key step in our strategy is a one-pot procedure based upon copper-catalysed alkyne-azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) from ...

Chemoenzymatic Synthesis of Triazololactams Structurally Related to Pancratistatin [PDF]
Four tricyclic lactams that structurally resemble alkaloids with the pancratistatin skeleton were synthetized from bromobenzene by a chemoenzymatic strategy.

Aptamer‐Based Delivery Systems for VEGF and NGF Modulation in Ocular Therapies
Aptamer‐based delivery systems targeting NGF and VEGF hold significant potential for precise and sustained treatment of complex diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This review critically summarizes current strategies for NGF and VEGF delivery as well as VEGF sequestration, providing a clinical perspective on how ...

Chemical Metabolomics: Chemical Biology Tools for Advanced Metabolism Investigations
The human metabolism has been investigated for several millennia. The metabolome is known for a high complexity due to a large number of different metabolites that are present at different concentrations. Metabolomics has been developed as a field to investigate the entire human metabolome and to elucidate disease development mechanisms.
