Oligonucleotide Tagging for Copper-Free Click Conjugation

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
Copper-free click chemistry between cyclooctynes and azide is a mild, fast and selective technology for conjugation of oligonucleotides. However, technology for site-specific introduction of the requisite probes by automated protocols is scarce, while ...

Synthesis of alpha-tetrasubstituted triazoles by copper-catalyzed silyl deprotection/azide cycloaddition

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
Propargylamines are popular substrates for triazole formation, but tetrasubstituted variants have required multistep syntheses involving stoichiometric amounts of metal.

Chemical Architecture and Applications of Nucleic Acid Derivatives Containing 1,2,3-Triazole Functionalities Synthesized via Click Chemistry

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
There is considerable attention directed at chemically modifying nucleic acids with robust functional groups in order to alter their properties. Since the breakthrough of copper-assisted azide-alkyne cycloadditions (CuAAC), there have been several ...

Stereochemical Geometries and Photoluminescence in Pseudo-Halido-Zinc(II) Complexes. Structural Comparison between the Corresponding Cadmium(II) Analogs

open access: yesInorganics, 2021
Six pseudohalide zinc(II) containing a variety of N-donor auxiliary amines were structurally characterized. These include two mononuclear trigonal bipyramidal [Zn(NTB)(N3)]ClO4·½H2O (3) and [Zn(TPA)(NCS)]ClO4 (4), two distorted octahedral [Zn(1,8-damnph ...

Review of novel energetic polymers and binders – high energy propellant ingredients for the new space race

open access: yesDesigned Monomers and Polymers, 2019
Current solid rocket propellant formulations still employ traditional ingredients utilized since the 1960s, such as hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB).

2-Azido-N-(4-methylphenyl)acetamide

open access: yesIUCrData, 2022
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C9H10N4O, comprises three independent molecules, two pairs of which differ significantly in the rotational orientation of the azido group and one pair having very similar conformations; the N—N—C—C torsion ...

Chemoselectivity of Tertiary Azides in Strain‐Promoted Alkyne‐Azide Cycloadditions [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2018
AbstractThe strain‐promoted alkyne‐azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) is the most commonly employed bioorthogonal reaction with applications in a broad range of fields. Over the years, several different cyclooctyne derivatives have been developed and investigated in regard to their reactivity in SPAAC reactions with azides.

A bioinformatics screen identifies TCF19 as an aggressiveness‐sustaining gene in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Gene expression meta‐analysis in multiple prostate cancer patient cohorts identifies Transcription factor 19 (TCF19) as an aggressiveness‐sustaining gene with prognostic potential. TCF19 is a gene repressed by androgen signaling that sustains core cancer‐related processes such as vascular permeability or tumor growth and metastasis.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Crystal structure of (N^C) cyclometalated AuIII diazide at 100 K

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2020
The title compound, an (N^C)-cyclometalated gold(III) diazide, namely, diazido[5-ethoxycarbonyl-2-(5-ethoxycarbonylpyridin-2-yl)phenyl-κ2C1,N]gold(III), [Au(C17H16NO4)(N3)2] or Au(ppyEt)(N3)2, was synthesized by reacting Au(ppyEt)Cl2 with NaN3 in water ...
