Abstract Background and Objectives Daratumumab, a therapeutic human anti‐CD38 monoclonal antibody, improves multiple myeloma outcomes but interferes with pre‐transfusion testing by binding CD38 on reagent red blood cells (RBCs), potentially masking clinically significant alloantibodies.

How physiology solves the gene‐centric impasse
Abstract The criteria for distinguishing between association and causation in studies of genes and function are clarified. Genomic association scores alone cannot satisfy those criteria, which is why treatment of common diseases has not benefitted from the cures expected when the Human Genome Project was launched.

Abstract BACKGROUND Hospital premises generate wastewater containing a wide spectrum of contaminants, such as pharmaceutically active compounds (PhACs), antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and pathogenic microorganisms, whilst plenty of them are classified under the antibiotic resistant bacteria (ΑRΒ) category.

Engineering Murine Cross‐Reactivity Into an Affibody to Human Death Receptor 5
ABSTRACT Interspecies cross‐reactive protein therapeutics that target conserved epitopes across species are critical for translational research. The present study showcases the engineering of an affibody molecule, originally discovered for binding to human death receptor 5 (hDR5) with 94 nM affinity, to simultaneously acquire cross‐reactivity to murine

Engineered B7‐H3 Binding in Modular Gp2 Miniproteins
ABSTRACT B7‐H3, an important immune checkpoint modulator of T‐cell function, is a tumor vasculature biomarker and is overexpressed in a variety of cancers. Its expression is associated with tumor growth, metastasis, and poor clinical prognosis, which makes B7‐H3 an appealing target for diagnostics and therapeutics.

Ubiquitin‐specific protease 43 (USP43) in up‐regulated during lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced acute lung injury (ALI). USP43 interacts and inhibits the degradation of solute carrier family 7 member 11 (SLC7A11) by removing the K48‐linked ubiquitination of it, thereby suppressing ferroptosis.
