Intrapleural administration of gelatin-embedded, sustained-release basic fibroblast growth factor for the regeneration of emphysematous lungs in rats

open access: yes, 2014
BackgroundIntra-airway and intra-arterial administration of gelatin-embedded, sustained-release basic fibroblast growth factor has stimulated regeneration of emphysematous lungs in animal experiments, but these routes of administration may also cause ...

High Humidity Exacerbates Psoriasiform Skin Disease Relapse by Increasing Tissue‐Resident Memory T Cells via Altering Skin Microbiota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.

Investigations into the stability of growth factor induced-vasculature and the effects of synthetic biomaterials on heart remodelling after myocardial infarction

open access: yes, 2011
This work was based on the hypothesis that optimization of growth factor delivery rate and duration, combined with a biomaterial scaffold, could lead to an improved strategy for therapeutic neovascularization.

Failure of airway healing in an ovine autotransplantation model that includes basic fibroblast growth factor

open access: yes, 2002
Objective: Basic fibroblast growth factor is among the most potent promoters of angiogenesis. Its ability to enhance the blood supply to ischemic airways or nonvascularized tracheal autograft has been demonstrated.

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

Optimal dose of basic fibroblast growth factor for long-segment orthotopic tracheal autografts

open access: yes, 1997
When a primary anastomosis of the trachea is not feasible, extensive grafting is required. However, despite the use of omental wrapping for revascularization, long-segment tracheal grafts frequently do not maintain structural integrity because of ...

TRMT6‐Mediated m1A Modification of CDK9 mRNA Is a Dual‐Pronged Pathogenic Driver for HBV‐Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TRMT6‐mediated m1A modification in CDK9 mRNA enhances its mRNA stability and translation efficiency, thereby increasing the protein levels of CDK9. Upregulated CDK9 promotes the progression of HCC by elevating the levels of oncogenic factors including p‐STAT3, MCL1, and BCL‐2. On the other hand, CDK9 phosphorylates TARDBP at Ser254 to activate HBV core
