Dual Photochemistry of Benzimidazole
Monomers of benzimidazole trapped in an argon matrix at 15 K were characterized by vibrational spectroscopy and identified as 1H-tautomers exclusively. The photochemistry of matrix-isolated 1H-benzimidazole was induced by excitations with a frequency-tunable narrowband UV light and followed spectroscopically.

A novel method was proposed for the determination of five benzimidazoles (oxfendazole, mebendazole, flubendazole, albendazole, and fenbendazole) using magnetic graphene (G-Fe3O4). G-Fe3O4 was synthesized via in situ chemical coprecipitation.

Triggering and Preventing Cyclization of o-Amino-Guanidinobenzenes to 2-Amino-Benzimidazoles. [PDF]
o‐Amino‐guanidinobenzenes are generally prone to cyclization to 2‐amino‐benzimidazoles. In this work, strategies to prevent such cyclizations are developed, allowing to use these compounds as ligands in coordination chemistry and for the design of novel (unsymmetrical) redox‐active ligands.

In vitro anti-Leishmania activity of triclabendazole and its synergic effect with amphotericin B
IntroductionLeishmaniasis is a neglected tropical disease, with approximately 1 million new cases and 30,000 deaths reported every year worldwide. Given the lack of adequate medication for treating leishmaniasis, drug repositioning is essential to save ...

Purcell‐Enhanced Spectrally Precise Emission in Dual‐Microcavity Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes
Spectrally precise emission from broadband organic light‐emitting diodes is realized via a dual‐microcavity strategy. This architecture achieves narrowband emission (full width at half maximum, FWHM = 21 nm) with ultrapure color approaching BT.2020 by enhancing the Purcell effect via coupling of excitons with dual‐microcavity resonance.

Proton‐conducting polymers based on benzimidazoles and sulfonated benzimidazoles
AbstractA sulfonated derivative of polybenzimidazole is reported, and its properties are analyzed in comparison with related polybenzimidazole proton‐conducting materials. Poly(2,5‐benzimidazole), poly(m‐phenylenebenzobisimidazole), and poly[m‐(5‐sulfo)‐phenylenebenzobisimidazole] were prepared by condensation of the corresponding monomers in ...

Uniform In‐Plane Growth of Large‐Area Ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 Membrane
A multicycle, ultradilute exposure strategy enables uniform in‐plane growth of ultrathin Zn2(benzimidazole)4 membranes on graphene, suppressing bulk nucleation and defects. The resulting centimeter‐scale films deliver high H2/CO2 separation performance, and are highly reproducible.
