Radioimmunoassay of benzoylecgonine in samples of forensic interest
Abstract A simple and economical radioimmunoassay for benzoylecgonine in blood or urine is described. Haemolysis, decomposition, common anticoagulants and sodium fluoride do not affect the results. A commercially available antiserum is used at a dilution of 1:600. The tracer is radioiodinated p-hydroxybenzoylecgonine.

DETERMINATION OF COCAINE AND BENZOYLECGONINE IN BIOLOGICAL MATRICES BY HPLC AND LC-MS/MS.
Cocaine is a powerfully addictive illicit drug. Cocaine abuse and addiction continue to increase in the world. Most analytical tests for the detection of cocaine use include the analysis of the metabolite, benzoylecgonine, in the urine.

Detection of cocaine and benzoylecgonine in formalin fixed rat tissues
The stability of drugs in formalin solution is an important factor in forensic investigation. Tissues (liver, lung, kidney, brain) taken from rats, which have been poisoned acutely with cocaine, were preserved in two different conditions, analyzed by GC-MS, and then compared.

The Predictive Value of Emotion Regulation in Cocaine Use Disorder Severity: Psychotherapeutic Implications During Hospitalization for Detoxification. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Objective Traditional treatment approaches in cocaine use disorder (CUD) still report high rates of poor outcomes. Emotion regulation (ER) is a transdiagnostic factor that may contribute to the initiation and maintenance of CUD, strengthening addiction severity. A deeper understanding of ER in this population is crucial for improving treatment

Post-Mortem Identification and Toxicological Findings of Fluetonitazepyne and Isotonitazepyne. [PDF]
In early 2025, five death cases in Finland tested positive for fluetonitazepyne and one for isotonitazepyne in urine drug screening. A peak corresponding to O‐dealkylated fluetonitazepyne, the 4‐OH‐nitazepyne metabolite, was present in all fluetonitazepyne‐positive urine samples and was later used in the identification of isotonitazepynein one fatal ...
