Interaction of uncharged bile salt derivatives with the ileal bile salt transport system
Two series of uncharged conjugated bile salt derivatives, N-conjugates of ethanolamine and 3-amino-1,2-propanediol were studied for interaction with the ileal bile salt transport system. Evidence for interaction is threefold.

Microbiota and bile acid profiles in retinoic acid-primed mice that exhibit accelerated liver regeneration. [PDF]
Background & aimsAll-trans Retinoic acid (RA) regulates hepatic lipid and bile acid homeostasis. Similar to bile acid (BA), RA accelerates partial hepatectomy (PHx)-induced liver regeneration.

Bacterial degradation of bile salts [PDF]
Bile salts are surface-active steroid compounds. Their main physiological function is aiding the digestion of lipophilic nutrients in intestinal tracts of vertebrates. Many bacteria are capable of transforming and degrading bile salts in the digestive tract and in the environment. Bacterial bile salt transformation and degradation is of high ecological

Structural and Functional Properties of Ingredient Composition in Kenkey Preparation: A Review
This review synthesizes three decades of research on kenkey, a fermented maize staple of West Africa. Examining the structural, functional, and nutritional properties that emerge from traditional fermentation and thermal processing, and identifying priorities for future research toward quality standardization and commercial development. ABSTRACT Kenkey,

Although physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling is increasingly being used to support oral drug formulation bridging, the acceptance by regulatory agencies is low. One of the primary concerns is the absence of clinical pharmacokinetic (PK) data from a non‐bioequivalent (non‐BE) batch during model validation.
