Polyphenolic and basic chemical composition of black chokeberry industrial by-products
Industrial Crops and Products, 2013Abstract The aim of the work was to examine basic and polyphenolic composition of chokeberry pomace fractions achieved as a result of industrial-scale processing of fruit into juice. As the result of sieving and pneumatic separation use two kinds of fractions were obtained: containing seeds and seedless ones.

Phytotherapy Research, 2012Thrombin is a serine protease that cleaves the peptide bonds in proteins located on the carboxyl side of arginine. Thrombin plays a central role in thromboembolic diseases, which are the major cause of mortality. The aim of the study was to estimate the effects of plant extracts on proteolytic properties of thrombin.
