This graphical representation illustrates the multifaceted nature of the immune response in viral infections, demonstrating both its protective and potentially harmful aspects. While a properly regulated immune reaction facilitates viral clearance and promotes general recovery, an overly robust or misdirected response—exemplified by Type III or Type IV

Expression and Characterization of the Borna Disease Virus Polymerase [PDF]
ABSTRACT Borna disease virus is the prototype of a new family, Bornaviridae , within the order Mononegavirales , that is characterized by nuclear transcription, splicing, low level replication, and neurotropism. The products of five open reading frames predicted from the

Nucleocytoplasmic Shuttling of Viral Proteins in Borna Disease Virus Infection
Nuclear import and export of viral RNA and proteins are critical to the replication cycle of viruses that replicate in the nucleus. Borna disease virus (BDV) is a nonsegmented, negative-strand RNA virus that belongs to the order Mononegavirales.

Recombinant Expression of Bornavirus P24 Protein for Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay Development [PDF]
Borna disease virus (BDV) is a neurotropic, enveloped and ribonucleic acid (RNA) virus. BDV induces persistent neurologic disease in a wide host range included several vertebrate species as well as human. The BDV genome encodes 6 proteins but p24 protein
