Growth of CdZnTe by the detached Bridgman method

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
ABSTRACT We have developed the detached Bridgman process for growth of CdZnTe crystals. Detachment of the solidification interface from the growth ampoule results in a low density of dislocations in the grown material and large single crystal grains.

Growth of LiNbO3 crystals by the Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2003
Abstract The growth of LiNbO 3 crystals by the modified Bridgman method has been reported. The feed material with accurate congruent melt composition is suitable to grow the crystals. Composition change of the melt during growth can be avoided by sealing platinum crucibles. Using the optimum conditions such as growth rate of 1–3 mm/h and temperature

Improvements in production of CdZnTe crystals grown by the Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1998
Abstract Vertical Bridgman growth of CdZnTe using in situ compounding, Cd vapor-pressure control and pyrolytic boron nitride crucibles yields crystals having low Cu impurity concentration, low dislocation density, low precipitate density and high infrared transmission.

Crystal growth of PbFCl by modified Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2003
Abstract Lead fluoride chloride (PbFCl) crystal was grown by modified Bridgman method. The result of X-ray powder diffraction pattern (XRD) was well accordant with the data of JCPDS card. The transmittance spectrum was first reported without absorption band from 270 to 800 nm.

Bi12SiO20 single crystal growth by the Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1993
Abstract The Bridgman growth of bismuth silicon oxide (BSO) crystals along 〈001〉, 〈110〉, 〈111〉 and 〈112〉 directions is reported in this paper for the first time. The mechanism of the darkened core formation in the Bridgman grown BSO crystals has been clarified on the basis of the investigation of the Czochralski growth of BSO.

Growth of large CdTe crystals by the Bridgman method

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1992
Abstract Large (diameter > 50 mm and length > 120 mm) CdTe crystals have been grown by the vertical Bridgman method. The crystal growth processes have been carried out under the following conditions: the growth rate was changed in the interval 1.0–2.2 mm/h and the crystals were doped with CdCl 2 (about 200 ppm) or Cdl 2 (about 300 ppm).

The texture of GaSb ingots grown by the bridgman method

Crystal Research and Technology, 1983
AbstractCrystallographic features of GaSb grown by the Bridgman procedure were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. Chemical etching and the electron channelling method were used to determine the position and crystallographic orientation of crystallites.

Behaviour of Mn in GaSb grown by the Bridgman method

Materials Science and Engineering: B, 1994
Abstract Mn-doped gallium antimonide crystals were grown by the vertical Bridgman method. The surface morphology was studied with the high resolution microscope and the etch pit density (EPD) was determined by the image analysis method. The absolute distribution coefficient k absolute and the active distribution coefficient k ...

Precipitates in PbTe:Cr crystal grown by the Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1987
X-ray diffraction measurements and electron microprobe analysis were performed on the PbTe crystals grown by the Bridgman method doped with 1.2 wt% Cr. The scanning electron microscopic observations and electron microprobe analysis carried out on the (110) oriented samples revealed needle-like precipitates enriched in chromium and tellurium.

Growth and characterization of KNbO3 by vertical Bridgman method

Journal of Crystal Growth, 2003
Abstract Potassium niobate (KNbO 3 ; KN) was grown from a K 2 O-Nb 2 O 5 flux using the vertical Bridgman (VB) method. By optimizing a flux composition, soaking temperature, the pulling down rate of crucible, and temperature gradient, we were able to successfully grow a pale white and partially colorless KN crystal, 10 mm in diameter and 50 mm in ...
