PINK1/Parkin-mediated ubiquitin-dependent mitophagy is a critical negative regulatory machinery for browning in the inguinal white adipose tissue (iWAT). However, the precise regulatory mechanism underlying PINK1/Parkin-mediated mitophagy during browning

The conversion of white adipose cells into beige adipose cells is known as browning, a process affecting energy metabolism. It has been shown that 3,5 diiodo-l-thyronine (T2), an endogenous metabolite of thyroid hormones, stimulates energy expenditure ...

Contrary to conventional expectations, the bulk photovoltaic effect in CuCrP2S6 is enhanced rather than suppressed upon transitioning into the crystallographically centrosymmetric phase. Dynamic Cu‐ion disorder creates transient polar states, which substantially amplifies zero‐bias photocurrent (shift‐current) generation, establishing dynamic symmetry ...

Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules that are sensitive to viscosity and temperature variations in the environment. They exhibit a direct correlation between fluorescence and viscosity within Newtonian fluids. However, this correlation becomes less straightforward in complex systems.

Hyperactive browning and hypermetabolism: potentially dangerous element in critical illness
Brown/beige adipose tissue has attracted much attention in previous studies because it can improve metabolism and combat obesity through non-shivering thermogenesis.

Co‐assembly of rationally designed glycosaminoglycan‐binding peptides with sulfated glycosaminoglycans yields supramolecular hydrogels with tunable mechanics and matrix‐mediated cytokine retention. The glycosaminoglycans thereby act as cofactors, driving a coil‐to‐β‐sheet transition that triggers gelation.

Cu2+ Modulates Enzymatic Browning in Potato Tubers Through Amino Acid and Organic Acid Metabolism
Enzymatic browning markedly reduces the processing quality and economic value of potatoes. This study evaluated the effects of copper sulfate (CuSO4) on potato growth, yield, and enzymatic browning.
