Integrated Assessment of Lipid Oxidation and Off‐Flavor Formation in Plant Protein Powders
Impact of residual lipids on oxylipin and off‐flavor formation in commercial plant proteins: A detailed analysis of precursor‐product relationships by GC‐FID, LC‐MS/MS, and GC‐MS. ABSTRACT The widespread adoption of plant proteins is hindered by their inherent off‐flavors, often linked to lipid oxidation products.

Enhancement of butylated hydroxytoluene-induced mouse lung damage by butylated hydroxyanisole
The phenolic antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) is known to produce a dose-dependent increase in mouse lung weight which is characterized by the necrosis of pulmonary type I and endothelial cells. We studied the ability of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) to modify BHT-induced changes in lung weight in male CD-1 mice.

Cyperus rotundus L. (CR) and vinegar‐processed CR (VCR) were compared in mouse models of thioacetamide (TAA)‐induced acute and chronic liver injury. VCR exhibited better hepatoprotective effects than raw CR. Composition analysis revealed 35 components in VCR, among which α‐cyperone was present at higher levels than in raw CR.

We demonstrate here the transformation of NBR (Nitrile butadiene rubber) including post‐consumer waste sourced from nitrile gloves and o‐rings into polyamines and polyols via ruthenium catalyzed hydrogenation. ABSTRACT We report here two new approaches for the chemical recycling/upcycling of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) to make either polyamines or ...
