Exploiting Chemical Diversity through C–H Activation and DNA-Encoding
DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology has the potential to dramatically expedite hit identification in drug discovery owing to its ability to perform protein affinity selection with millions or billions of molecules in a single experiment.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Improving synthetic efficiency through C—H activation
Selective C—H activation methods provide a complementary approach for synthesizing complex small molecules, which traditionally are constructed by chemists using C—C bond forming reactions to join preoxidized fragments.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Computational Study of Tandem C-C Coupling and C-H Activation Reaction of a Flexible Substrate
We carried out an extensive density functional theory calculations on the Pd catalyzed intramolecular Heck reaction followed by C-H activation of a flexible substrate like Stilbene ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Dual Catalytic C(sp2)–H Activation of Azaheterocycles towards C–N Atropisomers
We describe a PdII-catalyzed enantioselective C(heteroaryl)–H activation method enabled by a chiral transient directing group (cTDG) to gain access to C–N atropisomers.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
