Inonotolides A-C, isopimarane diterpenoid lactones from Inonotus sinensis
Fitoterapia, 2018Three new isopimarane diterpenoid lactones, named inonotolides A-C (1-3), were isolated from cultures of the basidiomycete Inonotus sinensis. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic studies and the structure of inonotolide A (1) was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis.

C-21 steroidal glycosides fromDregea sinensis
Journal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2014Two new C-21 steroidal glycosides, dregeosides D (1) and E (2), were isolated from the roots of Dregea sinensis. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectra and HR-ESI-MS analysis. Finally, the inhibited effects of the isolated compounds on interleukin 2 receptor were evaluated by enzyme-linked ...

Somatic hybridization in Citrus: navel orange (C. sinensis Osb.) and grapefruit (C. paradisi Macf.)
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1989Protoplasts of navel orange, isolated from embryogenic nucellar cell suspension culture, were fused with protoplasts of grapefruit isolated from leaf tissue. The fusion products were cultured in the hormone-free medium containing 0.6 M sucrose. Under the culture conditions, somatic embryogenesis of navel orange protoplasts was suppressed, while cell ...

Venturiella sinensis (Vent.) C. M. in Texas
The Bryologist, 1934Several years ago Mr. Julian A. Steyermark and Mr. John Adam Moore asked me to name a small collection of mosses from the mountains of western Texas. The report of their expedition was recently published' but the occurrence of this monotypic genus in North America is of such unusual interest that I thought it would be worth while to bring the fact to a

The chloroplast genome of a chlorophylla+c-containing alga,Odontella sinensis
Plant Molecular Biology Reporter, 1995The chloroplast genome of a marine centric diatom,Odontella sinensis, was cloned and sequenced. The circular genome is 119,704 bp in length (AC=Z67753;). It contains an inverted repeat sequence of 7,725 bp separating two single-copy regions of 38,908 and 65,346 bp, respectively, and 174 genes and open reading frames, of which nine are duplicated within

Phenotypic characteristics, as well as the relation between carotenoid accumulation and gene expression during ripening were determined in fruits of five new hybrids between tangor cv. 'Murcott' and sweet orange cv. 'Pêra'. The genotypes were classified into the orange-like group, showing mainly epoxycarotenoids, oval fruit shape and yellowish color ...

C. sinensis ablates allograft vasculopathy when used as an adjuvant therapy with cyclosporin A
Transplant Immunology, 2008Immunosuppressive treatments are available to suppress acute cardiac rejection; however, no viable treatment exists for long-term cardiac graft failure. Moreover, extended use of calcineurin inhibitor immunosuppressants, the mainstay of the current therapeutic for cardiac transplantation, leads to significant associated pathologies such as ...

Over the past decade, species of Cordyceps, particularly C. sinensis, C. militaris, and C. cicadae, along with their bioactive components cordycepin, ergosterol and polysaccharides, have shown significant anti-cancer potential. These effects are mediated through mechanisms including apoptosis induction, cell cycle arrest, and modulation of key ...
