Carbon Ion Radiotherapy - Chiba Experience
Carbon ion radiotherapy (CIRT) is a unique radiotherapy, which possesses well localized and superior depth dose distribution in addition to uniform, less repairable radiobiological effects. The use of CIRT for various diseases has been explored as clinical trials at the Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC), Japan, since 1994.

Red‐light‐activated Ir1 overcomes hypoxia tolerance and adapts to the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, converting immunologically cold tumors into inflamed hot microenvironments. This conversion is driven by synergistic induction of immunogenic cell death through coordinated ferroptosis‐necroptosis pathways and spatiotemporally controlled ...

Stimuli‐Responsive Supramolecular Biomaterials for Cancer Theranostics
The ultimate goal of cancer theranostics is to get imaging agents and therapeutic cargo to tumor sites when and where they are required. “Smart” systems should be developed. This review discusses the characteristics of physiological stimuli, types and action modes of external stimuli, construction approaches and working principles, as well as ...
