Asymmetric 1,8/13,2,x-M2C2B10 14-vertex metallacarboranes by direct electrophilic insertion reactions; the VCD and BHD methods in critical analysis of cage C atom positions [PDF]
The isolation of six isomeric, low-symmetry, dicobaltacarboranes with bicapped hexagonal antiprismatic cage structures, always in low yield, is described from reactions in which 13-vertex cobaltacarborane anions and sources of cobalt-containing cations ...

Trigonal Phosphine Umpolung: Electrophilicity Driven by a Redox‐Active Boron Cluster
Coupling of a phosphine to a redox‐active cluster enables polarity reversal, or umpolung, at phosphorus. Phosphines are classically known for their nucleophilicity, and while electrophilic reactivity has been observed in geometrically constrained, non‐trigonal systems, similar behavior in ordinary trigonal phosphines is rare.

Scaling of broadband dielectric data of glass-forming liquids and plastic crystals
The Nagel-scaling and the modified scaling procedure proposed recently by Dendzik et al. have been applied to broadband dielectric data on two glass- forming liquids (glycerol and propylene carbonate) and three plastic crystals (ortho-carborane, meta ...

By strategically incorporating boron/nitrogen multi‐resonance (B/N‐MR) core into the o‐carborane unit, perfect exciton utilization can be achieved as well as exhibiting stimuli‐responsive properties. The resulting DBN‐oCb‐based organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) demonstrated an impressive external quantum efficiency of 22.3%, the highest reported for ...

Type I interferon is critical for the homeostasis and functional maturation of type 3 γδ T cells [PDF]
Iridium(III) cyclometalates (1c and 2c) in which the two carborane units on the 4- or 5-positions of 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) ligands were tethered by an alkylene linker were prepared to investigate the effect of free rotation of o-carborane on ...
