Validation process of EDTA for infusion/ injection with ceftriaxone and sulbactam

open access: yesJournal of Applied Pharmaceutical Research, 2021
The validation of the manufacturing process to produce ceftriaxone/ sulbactam with EDTA1.5 g/ vial powder for solution for injection/ infusion. Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting the mucopeptide synthesis in the bacterial cell wall.

A Tale of Two Carboxypeptidases

open access: yes, 2009
Proopiomelanocortin (Pomc) neurons play a central role in energy homeostasis. Despite the complexity of Pomc posttranslational processing, regulation of Pomc gene expression often takes center stage.

Production of the Antihypertensive Peptide Tyr-Pro from Milk Using the White-Rot Fungus Peniophora sp. in Submerged Fermentation and a Jar Fermentor

open access: yesDairy, 2021
In order to evaluate the blood pressure-lowering peptide Tyr-Pro (YP) derived from casein, we wanted to develop an efficient fermentation method. Therefore, we chose to use a jar fermentor for this purpose.

FGF13 Deficiency Ameliorates Paclitaxel‐Induced Neuropathic Pain by Inhibiting VASH1‐Mediated Microtubule Detyrosination to Promote Mitophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FGF13 is upregulated in DRG neurons of PIPNP model mice. DRG neuron‐specific knockout of FGF13 ameliorates PIPNP symptoms. Mechanistically, FGF13 potentiates microtubule detyrosination by promoting VASH1 binding to microtubules. FGF13 knockout suppresses VASH1‐mediated microtubule detyrosination and promotes α‐tubulin tyrosination.

Natural Variation of COLD and CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 Coordinately Fine‐Tunes Cold Tolerance and Tea Quality in Tea Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐trait genome‐wide association mapping identifies a central hub regulator, COLD AND CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 (CCR1), and its excellent natural allele variation, coordinately enhancing cold tolerance and promoting catechins biosyntheis. CsCCR1 interacts with CsCBF1/3 and is transcriptionally activated by CsLUX and CsKUA1 to promote catechins ...

Tissue Damage in Rheumatoid Arthritis Is Genetically Linked to Low Peptidylglycine Alpha‐Amidating Monooxygenase Activity in Synovial Fibroblasts

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Both susceptibility to, and severity of, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is associated with the rs26232 C allele. Our primary aim was to identify the biologic mechanism underlying this association. Methods Expression of surrounding genes was compared among rs26232 genotypes.

Proteome-derived peptide libraries to study the substrate specificity profiles of carboxypeptidases

open access: yes, 2013
Through processing peptide and protein C termini, carboxypeptidases participate in the regulation of various biological processes. Few tools are however available to study the substrate specificity profiles of these enzymes.

New strategy to design fluorescent substrates of carboxypeptidases using a combination of dansylated peptides and albumin

open access: yes, 2021
A new strategy to design a fluorescent substrate for carboxypeptidases (CPs) was devised using dansylated sarcosine (DS) and albumin as a fluorophore and signal amplifier, respectively. The fluorescent substrate was designed by attaching an amino acid or

Multivariate phase‐dependent optimization of bioprocesses boosts performance and quality—Why timing (of exposure) matters

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract Applying a single parameter set to describe complex mammalian kinetics often is too simplistic, as it fails to capture sensitive cell‐to‐environment interactions that may be exploited to optimize production performance. To resolve this time dependency, intra‐experimental parameter shifts as part of design of dynamic experiments (DoDE) can be ...

Purification, Fluorescent Labeling, and Detyrosination of Mammalian Cell Tubulin for Biochemical Assays

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microtubules play essential roles in numerous cellular processes. All microtubules are built from the protein tubulin, yet individual microtubules can differ spatially and temporally due to their tubulin isotype composition and post‐translational modifications (PTMs).
