A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

The cancer preventive activity and mechanisms of prenylated resveratrol and derivatives
Resveratrol is regarded as neutraceuticals with multiple health benefits. The introduction of prenyl can enhance the bioactivity. In this work, the cancer preventive activities and mechanisms of 18 prenylated reseveratrol and derivatives were ...

Inflammasome priming in sterile inflammatory disease [PDF]
The inflammasome is a cytoplasmic protein complex that processes interleukins (IL)-1β and IL-18, and drives a form of cell death known as pyroptosis. Oligomerization of this complex is actually the second step of activation, and a priming step must occur

YersiniaType III-Secreted Effectors Evade the Caspase-4 Inflammasome in Human Cells
AbstractYersiniaare gram-negative zoonotic bacteria that use a type III secretion system (T3SS) to injectYersiniaouter proteins (Yops) into the host cytosol to subvert essential components of innate immune signaling. However,Yersiniavirulence activities can elicit activation of inflammasomes, which lead to inflammatory cell death and cytokine release ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Gene expression patterns following unilateral traumatic brain injury reveals a local pro-inflammatory and remote anti-inflammatory response. [PDF]
BackgroundTraumatic brain injury (TBI) results in irreversible damage at the site of impact and initiates cellular and molecular processes that lead to secondary neural injury in the surrounding tissue.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Ischemia and reperfusion injury in kidney transplantation : relevant mechanisms in injury and repair [PDF]
Ischemia and reperfusion injury (IRI) is a complex pathophysiological phenomenon, inevitable in kidney transplantation and one of the most important mechanisms for non- or delayed function immediately after transplantation.
