Category-valued traces for bimodule categories: a representation-theoretic realization [PDF]
The category-valued trace assigns to a bimodule category over a linear monoidal category a linear category. It generalizes Drinfeld centers of monoidal categories and the relative Deligne product of bimodule categories. In this article, we study bimodule categories that are given as categories of bicomodules over a Hopf algebra.

CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Entropy, Information and Complexity or Which Aims the Arrow of Time?
In this article, we analyze the interrelationships among such notions as entropy, information, complexity, order and chaos and show using the theory of categories how to generalize the second law of thermodynamics as a law of increasing generalized ...

MENS, an Info-Computational Model for (Neuro-)cognitive Systems Capable of Creativity
MENS is a bio-inspired model for higher level cognitive systems; it is an application of the Memory Evolutive Systems developed with Vanbremeersch to model complex multi-scale, multi-agent self-organized systems, such as biological or social systems. Its

We provide a complete description of the category of pseudo-categories (including pseudo-functors, natural and pseudo-natural transformations and pseudo modifications). A pseudo-category is a non strict version of an internal category. It was called a weak category and weak double category in some earlier papers.

Samuel Alexander’s Theory of Categories [PDF]
The Australian-born British philosopher Samuel Alexander (1859-1938) was one of the first realists of the twentieth century to defend a theory of categories. In Space, Time and Deity (1920) he constructs a realist metaphysics that posits Space-Time as the one monistic entity that encompasses every entity and every feature in reality, including the ...
