CRISPR‐Cas9‐Loaded Theranostic Liposomes for Enhancing Radiosensitization of Prostate Cancer through POLD4 Gene Editing under Real‐Time MRI Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study identifies POLD4 as a potential prostate cancer radiosensitization target through transcriptome sequencing. By encapsulating POLD4‐targeted CRISPR/Cas9 plasmids and USPIONs in cationic liposomes, an MRI‐monitored gene‐editing platform is established.

Low doses of ochratoxin A induce micronucleus formation and delay DNA repair in human lymphocytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The contamination of food commodities by fungal toxins has attracted great interest because many of these mycotoxins are responsible for different diseases, including cancer and other chronic illnesses. Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a mycotoxin naturally present

Is Cain more able? A behavioral perspective on the relationship between family CEO birth order and family firms' CSR

open access: yesStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Volume 20, Issue 1, Page 49-78, March 2026.
Abstract Research Summary We investigate family CEO birth order as an antecedent of family firms' CSR behavior. Despite psychology literature recognizing it as a key predictor of individual behavior, birth order has been largely neglected in management research.

PTRF/Cavin-1 decreases prostate cancer angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis

open access: yesOncotarget, 2013
Caveolae are specialized plasma membrane subdomains implicated in cellular functions such as migration, signalling and trafficking. Caveolin-1 and polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF)/cavin-1 are essential for caveola formation. Caveolin-1 is overexpressed and secreted in prostate tumors and promotes aggressiveness and angiogenesis.

Cellular spelunking: exploring adipocyte caveolae

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2007
It has been known for decades that the adipocyte cell surface is particularly rich in small invaginations we now know to be caveolae. These structures are common to many cell types but are not ubiquitous.

Oldest Cretaceous latimeriid elucidates cranial evolution in derived and extant coelacanths (Actinistia, Latimeriidae)

open access: yesPapers in Palaeontology, Volume 12, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract The fossil record of coelacanths (Actinistia) is diminished by several nominal gaps that obscure vital information pertaining to the clade's evolutionary history. Latimeriidae, the family that includes the extant coelacanth Latimeria, in addition to the Cenozoic, has an outstanding missing gap of 50 myr during the Mesozoic, with no records of ...

Prognostic and diagnostic significance of Cavin 2 in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science, 2020
Cavin 2 down-regulation is reported in several malignant tumors and is associated with tumor progression. However, the role of Cavin 2 in lung adenocarcinoma is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the prognostic and diagnostic significance of Cavin 2 in lung adenocarcinoma.Cavin 2 expression levels were examined in 150 cases of lung adenocarcinoma
