Gut‐Liver Translocation of Bacteroides Uniformis Alleviates Advanced Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease by Suppressing Hepatocyte Ferroptosis via Propionic Acid Secretion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Systematic characterization of the liver‐resident microbiota in advanced metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) reveals a consistent depletion of Bacteroides uniformis (B. uniformis) in both hepatic and gut microbial communities. Oral gavage of B.

Combinatorial targeting of G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 and cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 reveals a mechanistic role for bile acids and leukotrienes in drug‐induced liver injury

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
CHIN117 is a dual cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CYSLTR1) antagonist and G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1) agonist. In the liver, GPBAR1 and CYSLTR1 are coexpressed by liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), HSCs, circulating monocytes/macrophages, and liver resident macrophages (Kupffer cells).

Protection of CCl4-induced hepatic and renal damage by linalool [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of the current study is to determine the protective and therapeutic effects of linalool against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced hepatoxicity and nephrotoxicity.

Overcoming Drug Resistance by Paclitaxel Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the murine triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) model, chemotherapy effectively increases tumor neoantigen burden (TNB). Here, the study constructs a liposomal nanovaccine using antigens derived from in vitro chemotherapy‐treated paclitaxel‐resistant TNBC 4T1 cells.

CD8+ T cell memory is sustained in mice by hepatic stellate cells

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
HSC role in memory CD8+ T cell maintenance. Abstract Background and Aims Long‐lasting immunological memory is the ultimate goal of vaccination. Homeostatic maintenance of memory CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (MemCD8TCs) is thought to be mediated by IL‐15/IL‐15R heterodimer (15HD)‐expressing myeloid cells.

Evaluation of Hepatoprotective Activity of Dolichandrone atrovirens Leaves Stem Extract against CCl4‐Induced Hepatic Damage in Wistar Rats [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Stress Physiology & Biochemistry
Background: Exposure to environmental contaminants, including carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), induces hepatic damage. Certain extracts from Dolichandrone atrovirens (Bignoniaceae) protect against such damage.

Macrophage RSAD2 Couples mtDNA Synthesis With a Self‐Amplifying Inflammatory Circuit to Orchestrate Tissue Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Macrophage RSAD2 dually regulates CMPK2—the rate‐limiting enzyme for mitochondrial DNA synthesis—by suppressing its ubiquitination and promoting its phosphorylation via Csnk2a2 recruitment. This amplifies mtDNA production, which simultaneously activates a cGAS‐STING‐IRF3‐RSAD2 feedforward loop and the NLRP3 inflammasome, driving a self‐sustaining ...

Emergence of highly profibrotic and proinflammatory Lrat+Fbln2+ HSC subpopulation in alcoholic hepatitis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Lrat+ quiescent hepatic stellate cells (qHSC) give rise to Lrat+Fbln2+ activated HSC (aHSC) in alcohol‐associated hepatitis and this subpopulation is highly profibrotic, inflammatory, and immunoregulatory based on their single cell transcriptomic profile. Abstract Background and Aims Relative roles of HSCs and portal fibroblasts in alcoholic hepatitis (

CCL4 Deletion Accelerates Wound Healing by Improving Endothelial Cell Functions in Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yes, 2022
Chronic inflammation in diabetes mellitus (DM) is the leading cause of non-healing wounds. Chemokine CC motif ligand 4 (CCL4) is enhanced in the circulation and in the wounds of DM patients.
