CD123-directed allogeneic chimeric-antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR-T) in blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN): Clinicopathological insights.

open access: yesLeukemia research : a Forum for Studies on Leukemia and Normal Hemopoiesis, 2022
PURPOSE Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a hematologic malignancy associated with overexpression of CD123. Allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T) directed against CD123 in BPDCN have been studied in clinical trials ...

CD123 immunoexpression in cutaneous lupus erythematosus, polymorphous light eruption, pityriasis rosea, and mycosis fungoides

open access: yes, 2021
Introduction: CD123-positive plasmacytoid dendrocytes are prominent in the infiltrate of cutaneous lupus erythematous. Aim: To determine the significance of the CD123 immunostain, which labels plasmacytoid dendritic cells (PDC), in cutaneous lupus ...

Lupus Panniculitis Immunoprofiling Reveals a Cytotoxic, Type 1‐Skewed T‐Cell Response With Signs of Metabolic Alteration

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
Imaging mass cytometry shows lupus panniculitis lesions are dominated by cytotoxic and skin‐homing T cells with abundant macrophages and B‐cell aggregates. Spatial neighborhood analysis reveals organized leukocyte architecture, including B‐cell proximity to naïve T cells and M1 macrophages to cytotoxic T cells.

Interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain (CD123) is widely expressed in hematologic malignancies

open access: yesHaematologica, 2001
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The hematopoietic system is controlled by growth factors (cytokines) which can influence cell survival, proliferation, differentiation and functional activation. The study of cytokine receptor expression by flow cytometry could

Loop33 × 123 CAR-T targeting CD33 and CD123 against immune escape in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesCancer Immunology and Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy, such as chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cells targeting CD33 or CD123, has been well developed over the past decade for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

CD123 Expression Is Associated With High-Risk Disease Characteristics in Childhood Acute Myeloid Leukemia: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Oncology, 2021
PURPOSE Increased CD123 surface expression has been associated with high-risk disease characteristics in adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but has not been well-characterized in childhood AML.

Basophils in Immunity: Activation Pathways, Roles in Allergy and AllergoOncology and Application of the Basophil Activation Test

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Basophils, the least abundant leukocytes, are increasingly recognised as potent immunomodulators. Upon activation, they rapidly release preformed granule‐associated mediators including histamine and lipid mediators such as LTC4, while cytokine production occurs over a longer timescale, contributing to downstream immune responses.

CD123 target validation and preclinical evaluation of ADCC activity of anti-CD123 antibody CSL362 in combination with NKs from AML patients in remission

open access: yes, 2017
Despite the heterogeneity of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), overexpression of the interleukin-3 receptor-α (CD123) on both the more differentiated leukemic blast and leukemic stem cells (LSCs) provides a therapeutic target for antibody treatment.

Polyherbal EMSA ERITIN Promotes Erythroid Lineages and Lymphocyte Migration in Irradiated Mice

open access: yesOpen Life Sciences, 2016
Radiotherapy is commonly used to kill malignant cells, but it can significantly deplete hematopoietic and splenic erythroblasts. Radioprotective agents are therefore very important in clinical radiotherapy.

Breakthrough in Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm Cancer Therapy Owing to Precision Targeting of CD123

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences
Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare and aggressive hematologic cancer originating from the malignant transformation of plasmacytoid dendritic cell precursors.
