Hepatocyte Mettl3 Deficiency Drives Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and Liver Fibrosis via Cholangiocyte‐Macrophage Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration demonstrating that hepatic Mettl3 depletion significantly elevates the secretion of Mif and Csf1. This elevation facilitates Trem2+ macrophage infiltration and triggers cholangiocyte remodeling through the Spp1‐Cd44 interaction, resulting in spontaneous PSC development in vivo.

Stress‐Programmed Immune Niches Fuel TNFR2+ Treg Activation and Drive Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Resistance in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell sequencing reveals stress‐programmed immune states driving TNFα–TNFR2–mediated Treg activation and therapy resistance in breast cancer, while targeting this axis restores antitumor immunity. ABSTRACT The tumor microenvironment (TME) harbors diverse immune cell states that shape therapeutic outcomes in breast cancer.

Fibrates Inhibit PLTP‐induced M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Increase the Sensitivity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma to ICIs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

IL4I1⁺ Macrophages and TDO2⁺ Myofibroblasts Drive AhR‐Mediated Immunosuppression and Ferroptosis Resistance in Solid Predominant Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solid predominant lung adenocarcinoma exhibits an immune‐excluded, ferroptosis‐resistant niche enriched with IL4I1⁺ TAMs and TDO2⁺ myCAFs. Spatial and multi‐omics analyses reveal AhR‐driven crosstalk that promotes T cell exhaustion and therapy resistance. Blocking AhR with CH‐223191 restores ferroptosis sensitivity, and its combination with ferroptosis

Haptoglobin and CD163 in Aspects of Disease

open access: yes, 2023
Extracellular hemoglobin (Hb) is rapidly captured by haptoglobin (Hp) in the circulation to preventoxidative stress and tissue damage. This tight complex is recognized and endocytosed by themacrophage-specific scavenger receptor CD163 leading to lysosomal degradation of the Hp-Hbcomplex and reuse of the components maintaining iron homeostasis.

ITGB1 Regulates Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Development by Modulating the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tumorigenesis and metastasis are frequently attributed to the intricate interplay between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment (TME). Comprehending the mechanisms and key regulators of cancer‐immune crosstalk in the TME is imperative for developing efficacious immunotherapy.

Haemoglobin scavenging after subarachnoid haemorrhage

open access: yes, 2015
Rapid and effective clearance of cell-free haemoglobin after subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) is important to prevent vasospasm and neurotoxicity and improve long-term outcome. Haemoglobin is avidly bound by haptoglobin, and the complex is cleared by CD163

Increased Blood Flow and Tendon Swelling Precedes Vascular Expansion and Tissue Matrix Changes In Early Human Tendinopathy: A Potential Window for Superior Treatment Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human participants with early‐ or chronic‐stage tendinopathy and healthy controls are investigated using ultrasound Doppler, 3T and 7T MRI, and tendon biopsies. Tendon swelling and hyperperfusion are evident early, while vascular growth and extracellular matrix changes are most pronounced in chronic tendinopathy. Early intervention may provide superior

Neutrophil and Monocyte CD64 and CD163 Expression in Critically Ill Neonates and Children with Sepsis: Comparison of Fluorescence Intensities and Calculated Indexes

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2008
Objective. To evaluate the expression of CD64 and CD163 on neutrophils and monocytes in SIRS with/without sepsis and to compare the diagnostic accuracy of CD64 and CD163 molecules expression determined as (1) mean fluorescence intensities (MFI) of CD64 ...
