Single‐Cell Profiling Identifies SLC2A5‐Mediated Fructose Metabolism as a Vulnerability in Primary CNS Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucose deprivation in the primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) tumor microenvironment drives SLC2A5 (encoding GLUT5)‐dependent fructose metabolism in tumor cells, while hypoxia induces HIF‐mediated SLC2A5 expression in tumor‐supportive macrophages, revealing SLC2A5‐driven fructose utilization as a shared and targetable metabolic vulnerability across malignant

CD20 antibody primes B lymphocytes for type I interferon production. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
CD20 is a B cell surface marker that is expressed in various stages in B lymphocytes and certain lymphomas. Clinical administration of CD20 antibody, such as rituximab, is used widely to treat human B-cell lymphomas and other diseases.

Engineering Human Donor Derived Germinal Center‐Like Organoids (GCLOs) for Studying Immune Response to Vaccination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We bioengineered a new approach methodology of generating Germinal Center Organoids that self‐organize from human blood‐derived immune cells. These immune organoids reproduce key features of humoral immunity, IgG production, and plasmablast emergence.

HuMab-7D8, a monoclonal antibody directed against the membrane-proximal small loop epitope of CD20 can effectively eliminate CD20low expressing tumor cells that resist rituximab-mediated lysis

open access: yesHaematologica, 2010
Background Incorporation of the chimeric CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab in the treatment schedule of patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma has significantly improved outcome. Despite this success, about half of the patients do not respond to treatment

Proinflammatory CD20 + T cells contribute to CNS-directed autoimmunity

open access: yes, 2022
The origin and function of CD20 + T cells are poorly understood. Here, we characterized CD20 + T cells in mice and humans and investigated how they are affected by anti-CD20 antibody treatment.

A Randomized Phase II Study of Subcutaneous Mosunetuzumab in Combination With Polatuzumab Vedotin Compared With Rituximab Plus Polatuzumab Vedotin in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Large B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mosunetuzumab plus polatuzumab vedotin has shown promising activity versus rituximab plus polatuzumab vedotin (R‐Pola) in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) large B‐cell lymphoma (LBCL; NCT03671018). We present results from the Phase II randomized cohort, evaluating subcutaneous mosunetuzumab plus polatuzumab vedotin (Mosun‐Pola), with ...

Clinical Predictors of Response in Chronic Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease: Results From the “Predicting the Quality of Response to Specific Treatments (PQRST)” Trial

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite significant progress in chronic GVHD therapies, challenges remain in understanding pleomorphic phenotypes and varying responses to treatment. The aim of this study was to identify predictors of treatment response. We conducted a prospective, observational cohort study of patients beginning first‐, second‐, or third‐line systemic ...

Multiple Myeloma Includes Phenotypically Defined Subsets of Clonotypic CD20+ B Cells that Persist during Treatment with Rituximab

open access: yesClinical Medicine Insights: Oncology, 2008
Potential progenitor B cell compartments in multiple myeloma (MM) are clinically important. MM B cells and some circulating MM plasma cells express CD20, predicting their clearance by treatment with anti-CD20.
