Standardization of extract mixture of Chaenomeles sinensis and Phyllostachys bambusoides for anti-obesity by HPLC–UV

Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2017
JM-101 is a developed functional food formula using water extract of Chaenomeles sinensis and Phyllostachys bambusoides for anti-obesity. Standardization and quality control of herb mixture is more difficult than those of single herb. Additionally, the estimation of mixing ratio is an essential requirement for standardization.

Gel properties of the gum from Chinese quince (Chaenomeles sinensis) seeds

International Food Research Journal, 2023
The effect of pH and different types and concentrations of salt ions on the gel properties of gum extracted from Chinese quince seeds (CQSG) were investigated by analysing the texture, flow behaviour, water-holding capacity (WHC), zeta potential, and thermal and morphological properties of the gels formed by the gum.

Five New Oxylipins from Chaenomeles sinensis

Lipids, 2014
AbstractIn the course of our continuing search for bioactive constituents of Korean medicinal plants, we isolated five new oxylipins, chaenomic acid A–E (1–5), and six known ones (6–11) from the twigs of Chaenomeles sinensis. The structures of the new compounds (1–5) were determined by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR (1H and 13C NMR, 1H ...

Bioactive Triterpenoids from the Twigs of Chaenomeles sinensis

Journal of Natural Products, 2017
Chaenomeles sinensis has been consumed traditionally for the treatment of throat diseases, diarrhea, inflammatory diseases, and dry beriberi. Repeated chromatography of the CHCl3-soluble fraction from the 80% MeOH extract of C. sinensis twigs led to the isolation of three new triterpenoids, sinenic acid A (1), 3β-O-cis-feruloyl-2α,19α-dihydroxyurs-12 ...
