Suboptimality of Sales Promotions and Improvement Through Channel Coordination
This paper deals with sales promotions in the form of consumer price discounts in fast-moving consumer goods. First, we show analytically that suboptimality is to be expected with respect to the size of the consumer price discount.

Raman spectroscopy of the "potential sensor" of potential-dependent channels.
Raman spectroscopy (RS) study shows that the "potential sensor" responds to changes in intramembrane potential by conformational changes. The mechanism of regulation of the channel "gate" by the carotenoid potential sensor is discussed.

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...

The structure of a voltage gated potassium channel
Voltage gated potassium channels (Kv channels) are tetrameric ion channels, responsible for regulating the potassium component of the membrane potential in a large range of cell types ranging from mammalian excitable cells to bacteria. Attempts have been

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Modeling the GNSS Rural Radio Channel: Wave Propagation Effects caused by Trees and Alleys
Among the various physical influencing factors with the potential to degrade the overall performance of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS), the behavior of the radio wave propagation channel occupies doubtlessly a central role.
