Screen‐Printed Flexible Piezoelectric Force Sensor Array with Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article introduces a flexible screen‐printed piezoelectric sensor array designed for low‐frequency healthcare applications such as tactile sensing and cardiovascular monitoring. The device integrates interface electronics enabling the simultaneous acquisition of up to 128 signals, along with flexible EMI shielding that significantly reduces noise ...

Transient Receptor Potential Channels and Mechanosensation

Annual Review of Neuroscience, 2013
Transient receptor potential (TRP) channels act as sensors for a range of stimuli as diverse as light, sound, touch, pheromones, and tissue damage. Their role in mechanosensation in the animal kingdom, identified by gene ablation studies, has raised questions about whether they are directly mechanically gated, whether they act alone or in concert with ...

Ion channels and postsynaptic potentials

Biophysical Chemistry, 1988
Neurotransmitters open transmembrane ion channels in target membranes. At the motor endplate, the open time of channels activated by acetylcholine determines the time course of the endplate current. Endplate channels are selective for cations and their conductance and open times are influenced by the nature of the permeating cation.
