Harnessing Tumor Organoids to Revolutionize Immunotherapy Research

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Immunotherapy has emerged as a revolutionary approach to cancer treatment, yet the lack of robust preclinical testing platforms impedes progress in this field. Tumor organoids, three‐dimensional structures derived from patient‐specific samples, differ from conventional models by faithfully recapitulating the histological, genetic, and ...

Isoquercitrin Alleviates 5‐Fluorouracil‐Induced Intestinal Mucositis in Mice by Modulating Inflammation and Oxidative Stress

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the role of isoquercitrin (ISO) in 5‐fluorouracil‐induced intestinal mucositis. The animals (6 animals/group) were divided into: vehicle (2% DMSO), 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU) and groups receiving ISO (10, 50, or 100 mg/kg).

Construction of a Prognostic Risk Model for Helicobacter pylori Infection in Gastric Cancer Patients and Immunological Analysis

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Gastric carcinoma poses a significant global health challenge, often diagnosed late due to its similarity to chronic gastric conditions. Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection plays a crucial role in gastric carcinogenesis through inflammation and the release of virulent products.

Inhibition of Transglutaminase 2 Preserves Blood–Brain Barrier Integrity and Improves Neurological Outcomes After Experimental Traumatic Brain Injury in Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 4, April 2026.
The article unraveled that inhibition or knockdown of TGM2 can restore blood–brain barrier (BBB) permeability and ameliorate neurological deficits and cognitive dysfunction in a mouse model of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Mechanistically, TGM2 likely modulates the IL‐17 signaling pathway to regulate MMP9 expression, thereby affecting BBB permeability.

Adventitial Niches, Complement and Inflammation in Pulmonary Vascular Disease: Current Status and Future Directions

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 2, April 2026.
Local complement production by pulmonary artery adventitial fibroblasts, activated intracellularly by CFD and CFB and extracellularly by GZMK+ CD8 T cells, and its secretion in soluble form and within EVs promotes macrophage and T cell chemotaxis and activation.
