The Extreme Hosts of Extreme Supernovae [PDF]
We use GALEX ultraviolet (UV) and optical integrated photometry of the hosts of 17 luminous supernovae (LSNe, having peak M_V 100 M_☉), by appearing in low-SFR hosts, are potential tests for theories of the initial mass function that limit the maximum ...

This review highlights the formation of foodborne carcinogens during processing and evaluates different mitigation strategies, including natural antioxidants and modern cooking techniques, to reduce associated cancer risks and enhance food safety. ABSTRACT Food processing methods, though vital for improving food safety, taste, and shelf life, can ...

Broad-lined type Ic supernova iPTF16asu: A challenge to all popular models
It is well-known that ordinary supernovae (SNe) are powered by 56Ni cascade decay. Broad-lined type Ic SNe (SNe Ic-BL) are a subclass of SNe that are not all exclusively powered by 56Ni decay.

This study aimed to develop a gluten‐free biscuit with a low glycemic index by completely replacing wheat flour with flours from three local plant foods (tiger nut, dana, and avocado). The methodology began with the production of tiger nut and dana flours and avocado paste followed by the mixing plan and obtention of 09 (nine) formulations. The optimal

Cosmology with Photometric Surveys of Type Ia Supernovae
We discuss the extent to which photometric measurements alone can be used to identify Type Ia supernovae (SNIa) and to determine redshift and other parameters of interest for cosmological studies.

Flow Properties of Chinese Yam Pulp and its Serum.
This study was conducted to investigate the flow behaviors of Chinese yam pulp and its serum with a concentric cylinder visco-meter.Both pulp and serum showed a power law fluid behavior at shear rates ranging from 0.1-20 s-1. Activation energy of the serum was 1182cal/mol. In addition, serum showed a time dependency, and marked shear decay was observed

GRB 111005A at Z = 0.0133 and the Prospect of Establishing Long-short GRB/GW Association
GRB 111005A, one long duration gamma-ray burst (GRB) occurred within a metal-rich environment that lacks massive stars with $M_{\rm ZAMS}\geq 15M_\odot$, is not coincident with supernova emission down to stringent limit and thus should be classified as a
