Chlorogenic Acid and Synthetic Chlorogenic Acid Derivatives:  Novel Inhibitors of Hepatic Glucose-6-phosphate Translocase

open access: yes, 2016
The enzyme system glucose-6-phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.9) plays a major role in the homeostatic regulation of blood glucose. It is responsible for the formation of endogenous glucose originating from gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis.

Toxicity of aqueous extracts of Ilex paraguariensis A.St.‐Hil. about Euphorbia heterophylla L.

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6196-6206, July 2026.
Aqueous extracts of Ilex paraguariensis A.St.‐Hil. strongly inhibit Euphorbia heterophylla L. germination and early seedling growth, but show mild phytotoxicity on mature plants, paradoxically promoting biomass via antioxidants. Abstract BACKGROUND The escalating challenge of herbicide‐resistant weeds, exemplified by Euphorbia heterophylla L.

CHLOROGENIC ACID: BIOCHEMISTRY AND PHYSI

open access: yesMicrobiology&Biotechnology, 2010
Chlorogenic acid (C16H18O9) (CGA) is the ester of caffeic (3,4-dioxycinnamic) acid and one of the stereoisomers of quinic acid. It is the white crystal substance, easy soluble in water, spirit and almost insoluble in nonpolar organic solvents. The alkaline solutions of CGA turn into green colour at the air.
