Thin layer chromatography of chlorogenic acid isomers
Journal of Chromatography A, 1967Abstract Chlorogenic, neochlorogenic and cryptochlorogenic acids have been separated by the use of thin layer chromatography. Silica Gel G (Merck) plates impregnated with KHSO 4 were used. Forty chromatographic solvent systems used to develop the acids and eleven colour reactions are listed.

A comparative analysis of the effects of Ox-CGA with those of p-hydroxy-mercuri-benzoate seems to exclude the -SH groups of the proteins as the main site of action of Ox-CGA.
